Meet Our Self-Published Authors

  • Katherine Lockwood

“ I live on Cape Cod with my husband and our two little girls. In addition to having a disability myself, my background includes roles as a disability rights advocate, special education teacher, school counselor, and therapist. Growing up with Cystic Fibrosis- I had a disability you couldn’t see. Now having a little one with a visible difference, I know how important representation is. When I’m not writing, you can find my family and I swimming, boating, renovating a historic firehouse in Vermont, and at dinners with friends. “

  • Caleb Gorey

“ Hey! My name is Caleb, and when I am not determining the medical necessity of patients in the healthcare industry, I am writing various genres of novels and poetry. Graduating from Thomas College in Business Science & Entrepreneurship, I am always deep into a project. I most enjoy poetry, history, and science fiction. ”

  • Logan Duane

“ Hello, friends! I’m a self-published author from Central Maine, specializing in poetry. When I’m not writing, you can find me hanging out with my dogs, adventuring with my son, or hiking a trail! I am currently studying Non-Profit Management at Arizona State University, with a dream to own my own wildlife rehabilitation center. ”

  • M.A. Wardell

“ M.A. Wardell lives near the ocean with his husband and cats. When he isn’t writing, he’s snuggling those cats, reading all the rom-coms, walking to unravel plot points, and taking long hot baths. Teacher of the Year is his fiction debut, and he’s plotting to play matchmaker again soon. ”

  • Shoshannah Violet Cotton

“ Shoshannah Violet Cotton is a Queer Jewish Poet and Educator who lives along the southern coast of Maine with her two cats. Shoshannah’s debut poetry book, Uncharted, is a maze of moments from her mind. Words that make a map of queer love, loss, anxiety, chronic pain, Jewish faith, trauma, teaching, and deep drowning emotion. She finds inspiration for her poetry by the ocean, amongst the trees, and within human connections. Shoshannah performs her poetry regularly with the Portland Poet’s Society (PPS) at Lincoln’s Speakeasy in Portland. “
